Margaret Reid 

Margaret Reid grew up in Chilliwack, attending Central Elementary, Chilliwack Middle and Senior high schools. Her first job was at the Chilliwack Family YMCA. She married, Jamie, her high school sweetheart and best friend in high school. Their first date was in the Chilliwack Coliseum at a Chief’s Game, and their second date was at the Paramount. Margaret and Jamie’s three children attend French Immersion school in the Chilliwack district. Margaret’s experience includes being the District PAC rep for her children’s school. Margaret is a proud member of Chiflliwack’s queer community and member of Chilliwack Pride. She is a United Way Community builder, providing support to the Chilliwack community. She is a member of the Chilliwack Healthier Communities Poverty Reduction Committee and City-Wide Gardening Committee and worked with Extra Fare to deliver specialty food hampers to people with allergies. Margaret is the president of the Downtown Chilliwack Community Market, a food security market that works with Bowls of Hope to deliver food to people who need it. “See a problem, make a solution!”
